Per 20/12.5 mg tab Olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. Per 40/12.5 mg tab Olmesartan medoxomil 40 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg
Indications/Uses
Essential HTN in patients whose BP is not adequately controlled on olmesartan medoxomil or hydrochlorothiazide alone.

Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 tab once daily.

Overdosage
View Olmetec Plus overdosage for action to be taken in the event of an overdose.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Severe renal impairment, refractory hypokalaemia, hypercalcaemia, cholestasis & biliary obstructive disorders, anuria. Pregnancy (2nd & 3rd trimesters), lactation.

Special Precautions
Intravascular vol depletion, conditions w/ stimulation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, renovascular HTN, renal & hepatic impairment, kidney transplantation, aortic & mitral valve stenosis, obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, primary aldosteronism, metabolic & endocrine effects, electrolyte imbalance, ischaemic heart disease or ischaemic cerebrovascular disease.

Drug Interactions
Drugs that affect K levels, other antihypertensives, NSAIDs, alcohol, barbiturates, narcotics, antidepressants, baclofen, amifostine, cholestyramine & colestipol resins, anticholinergics, lithium, digitalis glycosides, antidiabetic agents, metformin, β-blockers, diazoxide, pressor amines, nondepolarizing skeletal muscle relaxants, sulfinpyrazone, allopurinol, Ca salts, amantadine, cyclophosphamide, MTX.
